Just had my eyes tested for the first time since my stroke and the optician was very pleased that my eyes appeared to have a full recovery (well, back to what they were pre-stroke, it's not like it was a bite from a radioactive spider or anything!).The latest innovation - 'gimmick' to us laymen - in eye care is the Digital Retinal Camera and so I present here, for the first time ever, a photograph of the inside of my eyes! How cool is that? This way Wilkinsons - my optician of choice for many years - will be able to more accurately monitor any changes in my peepers year-on-year.

Eugh... I think there are some things better left unphotographed :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of cool, though, in a gross way. All I got from my optician was a recommendation that I ask my GP for a cholesterol test. The phlebotomist who took my blood was very impressed when I told her why I'd come in.
