The initial snowy promise of 10am has, sadly, melted away as the temperature seems to have risen a degree or two.
What snow there was building up on the paths and roads - and hanging over our heads like the Sword of Damocles - has turned to water and slush. A very poor show - but good news for Rachel, who is up in North Kent organising an exhibition and wouldn't have appreciated having to drive home through snow drifts.
The sky is still quite grey and although the sun has poked its nose through a few times, there's still a chance the temperatures will drop again and maybe we'll wake up tomorrow to a winter wonderland.
