Recently, online lad's mag Maxim.Com published its all-time "nerd crush" list of sci-fi heroines and comic book babes that us geeky blokes are supposed to get all hot under the collar about. The final verdict was:
- Carrie Fisher (Star Wars)
- Gillian Anderson (The X-Files)
- Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix)
- Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica)
- Lara Croft (Tomb Raider computer game vixen)
- Famke Janssen (X-Men)
- Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Voyager)
- Aeon Flux (comic book character)
- Jennifer Garner (Alias)
- Natasha Henstridge (Species)
We here at HeroPress are always looking for a bandwagon to jump on and, as we only agree with a couple of these names anyway, here's my own, patented Acrobatic Flea list!
- Keira Knightley (Pirates of The Caribbean)
- Alyson Hannigan (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
- Mila Jovovich (Resident Evil)
- Bai Ling (Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow)
- Amanda Tapping (Stargate SG-1)
- Emma Caulfield (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
- Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica)
- Denise Richards (Starship Troopers)
- Sarah Douglas (Superman II)
- Sybil Danning (Battle Beyond The Stars)
Despite earlier comments on this blog about "Emma Frost", she didn't make the cut as I still have problems rating a drawing against a real person!
Honourable mentions probably also need to go to Jane Seymour for Sinbad & The Eye of The Tiger and Hannah Spearritt for her work on Primeval. Maybe next year ...

You can't forget Lux the Barbarian. Ellie Chidzey
ReplyDeletefrom the second and less forgettable D&D movie
I had forgotten her - she was the best thing about Wrath of The Dragon God; and that's reminded me of Kristinna Loken (from Sword of Xanten/Terminator 3) and given me my geek reason for listing the incredibly gorgeous Alicia Witt (who was also in Sword of Xanten aka Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King). Then of course there's Nicola Bryant, Peri from Dr Who. This list could go on and on and on ...
