If anyone is stuck for an idea for a wedding present for yours truly (remember we are getting hitched on the 30th anniversary of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope), may I recommend this little beauty from the Japanese tech wizards at Nikko?It's a 20" remote control R2-D2, which would be cool in itself, but its £1,900 price-tag brings with it a DVD projector ("Help me, Obi-Wan, you're my only hope..."), a USB/memory card socket and an iPod dock to blast out the Imperial March or Jedi Rocks when appropriate!
The remote control is shaped like the Millennium Falcon and has its own effects.
Over here, it's available from The Forbidden Planet International from the start of June ... which is, coincidentially, about when we'll be looking for a new home, so that'd be perfect timing.
Of course, if this is a bit pricey there's also a two foot high R2-D2 pedal bin - another great import from Japan.
