A welcome package arrived from my figure painter of choice - Neil Wilson of
Wilsons Miniatures - this morning: the first of my
Doctor Who collection. These glorious 28mm miniatures are from
Black Tree Designs and are just what the doctor ordered for
Graeme Dawson's phenomenal
Doctor Who Miniatures Game.
In a week where
Doctor Who seems to turning into a celebrity love-in with
Kylie Minogue, of all people, being the guest star in the Christmas Special and
Catherine Tate returning to the TARDIS for a full run of episodes next year, while the lovely
Martha's moving over to Torchwood for a bit; it's comforting to know that the Sontarans and Daleks will still be clashing with UNIT and the Doctor(s) and Leela will be on hand to help them out!
The more things change, the more they stay the same. As Graeme, not a fan of the recent series, wisely said the other day: "Luckily there's enough flavours of
Doctor Who to keep everyone happy, which for me is what it's all about."
