A round-up of geeky news you might have missed...(1) When Will We Be Watching The Watchmen? Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox are locked in negotiations over the fate of the eagerly anticipated Watchmen movie, as time ticks away and the supposed release date draws ever nearer.
(2) Hef Bounces Back To A Foursome: Hugh Hefner's latest girlfriend - who joins the 'twins' at Hef's side - has been introduced formally to the public. These three girls replace the legendary Girls Next Door, who sadly moved out last year.
(3) Jonah Hex Rounds Up A Director: Jimmy Hayward, who directed Horton Hears a Who! will make his live-action debut with Jonah Hex, the Warner western based on DC Comics' eponymous scar-faced bounty hunter. Production is due to begin in March/April, with a release date sometime in 2010.
(4) Thompson Twins Cast: Rumour has it that the great Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are to play the Thompson twins in Steven Spielberg's forthcoming Tintin movie. They join Andy Serkis who is playing Captain Haddock in the first of the planned 3D performance-capture trilogy, due out in 2010.
(5) More Doctor Who Toys: Character Options, which makes the brilliant Doctor Who action figure range, has renewed its licence with the BBC.
(6) Millions Tune In To Find Out Who's Who: 6.1 millions viewers tuned into BBC1's Doctor Who Confidential which revealed Matt Smith as the new Doctor.
(7) Forbidden Territory: James Cameron is believed to be directing the first of three films penned by Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Stracynski, based on the classic Shakespearean sci-fi, The Forbidden Planet.
(8) Can You Feel The Force? A 'Force Trainer' toy is being released in the States in the Autumn that supposedly lets users move objects with the power of their mind - Jedi style!

(10) The Doctor's Great-Grandson: Subscribers to Big Finish's monthly Doctor Who range of original audio plays will receive a special gift at the end of the year - a play featuring the 8th Doctor (Paul McGann) returning to Earth in the 22nd Century and meeting up with his grand-daughter Susan (Carole Ann Ford), who now has a son (played by McGann's own son, Jake).
