The Good Guys
The Bad GuysThe latest shipment of painted retro science-fiction miniatures has docked at HeroPress Towers, from my painter, Neil.
While primarily figures from Killer B's beautiful Galactic Adventures in the Fourth Dimension of the Forbidden Zone, there are also a number from WSD's Dick Garrison line, a couple from Hydra, a Superfigs' ape, a Golgo Island Alpha Zorgl and a converted HeroClix figure of Darkseid.
Now I just need to find myself a fast-play set of rules with them, develop a "unique" background, convince Nick "this is the future of gaming" (or maybe, even, use this as an introductory game for Rachel), and find the time to do all this while I'm suppose to be concentrating on my old school Dungeons & Dragons campaign for The Tueday Knights!

I am not sure, that monkey looks pretty shifty.
ReplyDeleteBut with that wrench he's good in a bar fight. In space always make sure you have a monkey on your side (not on your back)!
ReplyDeleteI own a major chunk of the Gafdoz figures, but find the Retro Raygun figures just a wee bit too tiny to really work next to them. Maybe I'm wrong, though, you seem to have no problems getting them to fit in the gafdozverse.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very valid point, Misternizz. I don't use the "adult" Galacteers - as they are "too spindly" for my tastes, but some of the shorter, more youthful, figures (and the monkey, of course) work perfectly as "teenage sidekicks".
ReplyDeleteThe monsters and robots pretty much work just fine though - which reminds me, I've got some that need painting...
