3 persons have something to say about this!:
(2) For some reason, I thought the Tintin Museum already existed.
(3) This is excellent news. Earth will be destroyed.
(5) Topless Robot also reports that an Alien remake (not sequel) is also on the boards. Of all the unnecessary films to make...
(8) It's on my stack of reads.
(9) I'm glad Primeval is doing well, even if it's a bit of a wait for us across the pond.
(10) Seems lovely. Of course, no information on what her character will be.
(11) I don't quite understand. Comics today always give away behind the scenes information, all surprises are spoiled, etc. I don't know what they hell he could have said that would get him fired off a book, yet still hold onto other projects (Milestone) at the same company. Sounds like an excuse to me.
(13) They sure don't. In a way, I don't think non-French speakers get Tintin the same way we do.
(2) I'd also thought there was already a Tintin museum in Belgium, as I'd been using it as my reason to want to go there on holiday for several years with Rachel. But now I know it really exists.
(5) I've heard the Alien reboot might actually be a prequel... but still not convinced we need it!
I read on CBR that if you look through the column, you’ll see several statements that show McDuffie’s frustrations with working on the title, from comments on how the Anansi storyline was “about my not having control of the stories in my book” to remarks about how DC’s big guns — from Superman and Batman to Green Arrow and Captain Marvel — weren’t available for his use.
I guess at the end of the day, McDuffie's firing doesn't come as a surprise and it may actually keep me as a reader. I was going to stick for Len Wein's stuff then drop it because I couldn't face any more of the book as it's been this past year, but I guess now it depends on who's taking over.
And what kind of purse they make out of the pig's ear they inherit.
