Hot Damn...
I can't wait for the reimagining of V to start in this country (on the Sci Fi Channel, according to The Guardian).
I loved the original V back in the day, and while it looks a tad dated now, it's still a brilliant show, so I really hope this new incarnation does it justice.

About Me
- The Acrobatic Flea
- I was a regular salaryman, earning a crust with my meager writing skills, until an aneurysm tore open my aorta unexpectedly in early 2005. I suffered a stroke during surgery and a collapsed lung afterwards. I have since realised that I now have a new chance at life, which (body willing) I shall indulge in with positiveness, happiness and the good companionship of my wonderful wife. The Acrobatic Flea handle comes from the name of my favourite - and most successful - Villains & Vigilantes RPG character in the '80s.

4 persons have something to say about this!:
The first V miniseries was epic back in the day. I still remember where I was when I watched them eat that mouse. We talked of NOTHING else the next day at school. Then they introduced the 'Star Child' and we were all embarassed to admit we liked V. When we all joined Columbia House videos, everyone got the V series with our first free movies.
Your experiences with the original mini-series pretty much echo my own ;)
I'm not sure I get it. Surely the point of the original series was the surprise twist "OMG THEY"RE ACTUALLY LIZARDS IN DISGUISE!!!" so doing it again just seems a bit pointless to me, like telling the same joke twice.
Seriously? When you watched the original you were surprised that they were lizards? The people of Earth, in the series, may have been surprised but, as far as I was aware, everyone watching it the TV show already knew!
The thrill of original V, came from seeing how the people in the show reacted to this revelation, which we can now experience again (hopefully).
