Garden Watch: The Birth Of Shedward (part one)...

As winter approaches, my father-in-law has time to come and start work on the inside of my garden shed (recently named 'Shedward' in "honour" of the horrendous twins on X-Factor; if you don't get the reference count yourself lucky).

Although not totally finished, he got up the majority of the shelving this morning. You need to imagine it without the carpet pieces (that's off-cuts from the lounge that, hopefully, will go on Shedward's floor) and old bike (that's Rachel's and has been sold to our friend Stu, but he just hasn't come to claim it yet!).

The empty ice cream containers are for size comparison, to represent the various "bitz boxes" I intend to have on the shelves when I eventually turn Shedward into a model making haven and wargames scenery production line (or something along those lines).

If all goes according to plan, this home-away-from-home will be ready for action on Friday (providing Stu comes to collect his bike and I remember to get the lighting sorted out).

2 persons have something to say about this!:

Nice!

My shed is still full of garden tools and kids toys. We recently bought a garden store to put the kids toys in, so that is helping make space.

I am also part way through insulating it (we do live in North East Scotland!) so it should be cozy once finished.

Anyway, please keep up the posts...

Thanks, David. I'm looking forward to "moving in" :-)

I was a regular salaryman, earning a crust with my meager writing skills, until an aneurysm tore open my aorta unexpectedly in early 2005. I suffered a stroke during surgery and a collapsed lung afterwards. I have since realised that I now have a new chance at life, which (body willing) I shall indulge in with positiveness, happiness and the good companionship of my wonderful wife. The Acrobatic Flea handle comes from the name of my favourite - and most successful - Villains & Vigilantes RPG character in the '80s.
