Out Of The Box: 'Tis A Thing O' Beauty...

My copy of Doctor Who: Adventures In Time & Space has arrived and it's love at first sight. From the glorious way the box hinges open (it's a roleplaying game in a box, for cryin' out loud!) to the thick cardboard 'story point' chits and the beautiful, full-colour production of the books and booklets, this is clearly no rush-job to cash in on a lucrative franchise.

For those still wavering over whether to invest, please check out my shaky video above of the box contents and I'll try and marshal my thoughts together for a full review by the end of next week.

6 persons have something to say about this!:

JEALOUS!

I still don't know when it'll become available in Canada. Or from where.

I'm considering sending out for it from the UK, expense be damned.

Nice box shot, but there seems to have been a technical problem with the microphone, as it failed to pick up the sound of Flea excitedly going "EEEeiiieiiie!!!!"
Was that a sheet of counters right at the bottom?

I'd already done a "dry run" so that I could contain my girlish-like squeals :) And, yes, counters for "story points" (i.e. Drama Points/Hero Points etc)

That was super cool! A very nice set (love the hinge) and a nice demonstration.

Good job! Mind if I use the video on ONCE UPON A GEEK (giving you credit of course)?

That box is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside!

About Me

The Acrobatic Flea
I was a regular salaryman, earning a crust with my meager writing skills, until an aneurysm tore open my aorta unexpectedly in early 2005. I suffered a stroke during surgery and a collapsed lung afterwards. I have since realised that I now have a new chance at life, which (body willing) I shall indulge in with positiveness, happiness and the good companionship of my wonderful wife. The Acrobatic Flea handle comes from the name of my favourite - and most successful - Villains & Vigilantes RPG character in the '80s.
