A New Way Of Looking At eBay...

eBay has been around since the mid-90s, but of late little has changed in the way we look at listings. However, a new visual eBay browser makes it easier to view many items at once.

Free to use, PicClick, the first visual shopping interface for eBay, provides a clean and simple viewer, devoid of marketing distractions.

With PicClick you can maximize your browser window and fill your entire screen with thumbnails. It also has infinite scroll, so no more paging.

Given the widespread use of broadband, eBay stores are becoming much more image-focused and the human mind can scan and process images much more quickly than text, so PicClick can be a great help when looking for items such as comics or Dungeons & Dragons miniatures.

Clicking on one of the pictures then takes you automatically to the item's actual listing page on eBay, where you can read further details about the item and decide whether or not to place your bid.

A couple of good examples of PicClick at work are these searches for Dungeons & Dragons items and Marvel Comics.

The UK version of PicClick can be found at http://uk.picclick.com/ and at the bottom of the home page you can find other countries’ versions.

The information for this item came via one of my Twitter followers who thought it might be of interest to HeroPress readers, so I am passing it on to you in the hope that it helps with your eBay usage. One thing I would point out about the UK portal (the one I have been using) is that it currently lists prices, under the pictures, in dollars. This is simply a transposition of the $ sign for the £ sign, not a converted value, so $4.99 is actually £4.99.

About Me

My Photo
The Acrobatic Flea
I was a regular salaryman, earning a crust with my meager writing skills, until an aneurysm tore open my aorta unexpectedly in early 2005. I suffered a stroke during surgery and a collapsed lung afterwards. I have since realised that I now have a new chance at life, which (body willing) I shall indulge in with positiveness, happiness and the good companionship of my wonderful wife. The Acrobatic Flea handle comes from the name of my favourite - and most successful - Villains & Vigilantes RPG character in the '80s.
