Comic Books Against Cancer!

RIP issue one, due out in late April, from Black Snake Studios, is the company's first Comics Fighting Cancer title - with 100% of all profits going towards America's National Foundation for Cancer Research.

The 24-page grey-scale publication, with a cover price of $3.50 (digital downloads will cost $0.99), will be available either direct from Black Snake Studios (which guarantees all your money will go direct to the worthy charity), in bricks and mortar comic book stores or via download from outlets such as Panelfly and Drive Thru Comics.

Sponsored by the
National Foundation for Cancer Research, Black Snake Studios' Joseph Pais says: "Comics Fighting Cancer is a new way to donate to fight cancer. What makes this project unique is the fact that our comic is completely donor funded. Every page of this comic was paid for by people wanting to create a change and find a cure for cancer. We hope you will join us in the fight against cancer.

How can you help?

Joseph said "You can help by buying our Comics Fighting Cancer products and spreading the word about this project. The number one thing is that we need people to get involved in this project. With more people talking about this project, we increase our chances of success.

"These products will be available in multiple retail outlets across the United States. These locations will be announced on our website. You may also purchase these products on our website and various outlets online.

Brief Summary Of RIP #1:

Two years ago he lost everything that he had ever loved. The vampires took her from him and he wants her back. It is their unusual appetite and uncontrollable cravings that set them apart from the ones that they hunt, but to the humans, they look somewhat normal. He knows better.

With the help of high tech friend Chet and the curiously flawless and sexy Anaya, RIP will not stop until he gets his wife back, along with all of the missing.

However, after RIP finds out that local doctors and scientists have become a few of the many that were taken, he begins to fear for the purity of the entire human race. With the motivation and power to kill any vampire that stands in his way, and the knowledge of exactly how to do it, RIP becomes an unstoppable force that not even the many faces of immortality can match.

Make sure you check out the pledge incentives the Black Snake Studios website.

How Does This Work?

1) Black Snake Studios collects your donations to help create, print and distribute a Comics Fighting Cancer comic.

2) Distribution will be done through Diamond and or Haven. Diamond distributes products to an estimated 4,000 stores worldwide.

3) All profits from sales of the comic and other products will go to a cancer fighting organization. Also included in the donation is the cost per product printed.

Joseph stressed: "The most important part about Comics Fighting Cancer is opening the doors to donations from a different audience. Without you this is an impossible project, please donate what you can and help spread the word about this unique project."

Ways To Donate:

1) You can donate on BlackSnakeStudios.Com

2) By purchasing a Comics Fighting Cancer wristband.

3) You may also pre-order a copy of RIP #1.

About Me

My Photo
The Acrobatic Flea
I was a regular salaryman, earning a crust with my meager writing skills, until an aneurysm tore open my aorta unexpectedly in early 2005. I suffered a stroke during surgery and a collapsed lung afterwards. I have since realised that I now have a new chance at life, which (body willing) I shall indulge in with positiveness, happiness and the good companionship of my wonderful wife. The Acrobatic Flea handle comes from the name of my favourite - and most successful - Villains & Vigilantes RPG character in the '80s.
