(1) Is It Christmas Yeti? Rumour has it that The Doctor will be facing off his old foe The Yeti in the 2010 Christmas Doctor Who special.

(2) Keep Lady Robotika On Target: Get your pre-orders in for Lady Robotika, from Image Comics, before Thursday (June 24), to ensure that Jane Wiedlin (yes, THAT Jane Wiedlin) can bring you her tales of "intergalactic rock 'n' roll adventures".

(3) Kirk On Kirk: William Shatner is to direct a feature documentary about Captain Kirk!

(4) Tales Of Terror: Iris Wildthyme publishers Obverse Books is to release, in time for Halloween, a book of contemporary ghost stories - including work from several Doctor Who authors.

(5) Long Earth On The Way: Two unfinished Terry Prachett novels, about parallel worlds, are to be completed in a collaboration with top sci-fi writer Stephen Baxter (who is coming to Tunbridge Wells next month).

(6) Have A Super Christmas: E4's excellent chavs-with-superpowers saga Misfits has earned itself a Christmas special.

(7) Buffy Revamp Staked: It appears that the ill-conceived attempts to resurrect Buffy The Vampire Slayer as a movie (with the involvement of Joss Whedon) are dead and buried... at least for the moment.

(8) Financial Woes Delay Joss Horror: MGM's debt crisis, which has already kicked the next James Bond to the kerb and driven Guillermo Del Toro from The Hobbit, has now been blamed for the continued delay in releasing Joss Whedon's horror flick, The Cabin.

(9) Prepare For Warpgasm : It's time to register your interest in Quantum Mechanix's 34" long, film-quality scale replica of the USS Enterprise from JJ Abrams' Star Trek. Only 500 will be made.

(10) Helmless Hobbits Keep On Working: The Hobbit may not have a director, but work continues on building Hobbiton in New Zealand (although the pictures here were taken before Del Toro quit).

(11) You Be The Judge: Mongoose Publishing is offering a free download of its new Judge Dredd miniatures game for playtesting. Mongoose also has some figures for sale - although these simply appear to be rereleases of old figures, but now sold individually rather than in box sets.
