Cloverfield Monster by SketchwichEverything always comes down to "lists" with me, especially when I'm trying to streamline my life, get organised and focused.
And so I have drawn up my five point inclusion list of the broad areas I'm looking to filter my interests into (with an overriding theme, that allows for more flexibility, of "fighting monsters" - a key theme that I look for in books, films, comics and games):
- Dungeons & Dragons
- Star Wars
- Superheroes
- Big Monsters
- Zombies

You're a man with a plan - always a good start.
ReplyDeleteAll journeys begin with a single step... and all that!
ReplyDeleteWow, not a superheroes guy myself, but otherwise this list sounds like a plan to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support, Counterfett. Guess we can't all enjoy wearing our underpants over Lycra leggings... :D
ReplyDeleteI must admit that your list does not really push any of my buttons, but I am interested to see where it goes.
ReplyDeleteI am finding a slowly growing insidious interest in zombies (something that has never appealed to me before), especially with the approach of the new zombie show on FXUK.
Oh, I hope you don't abandon HeroPress, David, because of my "new direction" :(
ReplyDeleteZombies have a way of sneaking up on you like that.
I've been reading the collected volumes of The Walking Dead for years and can't wait to see how it translates to television. If nothing else it'll mean we still have some "common ground"!
I wont be abandoning Heropress anytime soon. I may not be a great D&D or spandex fan but I still enjoy reading your posts!
ReplyDeletebtw I see our local Asda has series 1 and 2 of Supernatural for £8 each, I have never managed to catch the show but I know you are a bit of a fan. Should I pick them up at that price?
I've been away from my computer for over a day, but hopefully you got my message - sent via iPod Touch - that this is a great bargain and certainly one you should take advantage of.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear what you make of Supernatural if you do decide to invest.
