Accept No Imitation!
A second, later, magazine advertisement for Villains & Vigilantes from the good, old days - this one featuring Jeff Dee artwork dated 1984.
I realise these old ads were for the FGU iteration of V&V but I'd love to, one day, see Monkey House Games (the new publishers of the greatest superhero RPG ever) adopting a similar style of advert - both for the nostalgia factor and the fact that I think there's real value in giving potential customers a taste of the game before they even crack open the rule book.

These adverts are bringing tears if nostalgia to my eyes! I read those adverts, I bought that copy of the game.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty much the idea - I'm hoping to spark some old school passion for the game, now that it's back in the land of "living games".
ReplyDeleteHope this means you're going to dust off your old rules - or invest in the new edition - and get superhero-ing again ;)
I have no gamers around these parts, and truth be told I am too busy with the writing schedule I've created for myself.
ReplyDeleteBut I have my memories...
