Trekkie Versus Trekker...

The polls are closed and the readers of HeroPress have spoken - the current preferred nickname for fans of Star Trek is: Trekkies.

Although Trekkies pretty much led from the start, Trekkers was never far behind and actually pulled level for a while before Trekkies made the final lunge for victory.

The closing results were: 

• Trekkies: 55%
• Trekkers: 45%

Thank you all to everyone who voted. For once I didn't actually vote in one of my own polls because I honestly didn't know which term I would adopt for future mentions on the blog.

But "Trekkies" it is!
