Arrow...



What's the general feeling on Arrow? Another Smallville in the making or will it miss the target (yes, I went there!)? Is Oliver Queen a popular enough character to have his audience all a-quiver (yes I did it again)?

Arrow is due to debut in the States on October 10.

  1. Since the kevin Smith reboot, I've liking the comic books, although as always I was a bit worried that Judd Winick would give him AIDS. I'll be watching this when I can, and I hope it does well.

    By the way, if you think I'm out of line with the Winick comment, please check his body pf work. He has lost a dear friend to AIDS and written beautifully on the subject while at the same time providing some of the funniest stuff ever read in Frumpy the Clown, and the Adventures of Barry Ween: Boy Genius. Sometimes though, it seems that he uses the disease a bit too much, and I worry that his message will be diluted. If you want to find out more, check out his website, and read Pedro and me.

    1. Great comments, Shorty, thanks. I suspect Arrow will bear no resemblance whatsoever to the Green Arrow comics, barring some character and place names dropped here and there (much like Smallville ultimately had little to do with the mainstream Superman comics).
