That’s exactly what the new Silicon Valley based start-up, The StoryBoom, is trying to solve.
The idea behind the platform is "to be the easiest way to bring your comic book ideas to life".
Professional or aspiring writers submit their story ideas and the online community votes for the best one.

The site also takes care of publishing and the only thing the author has to worry about is writing the comic script.
The first comic has already been created, chosen during a closed beta contest of 10 stories. The winner was NovaHope by Zé Wellington.
In NovaHope corporations have replaced countries, after a major economic crisis. The leading counsel for the United Corporations of the Planet, Adam Nova, promotes a fighting robot tournament. He is seeking to find the perfect soldier to be funded by his corporation. Surrounded by protests from groups fighting for the rights of robots, the tournament favourite is Vulcano. But things get complicated when Vulcano is kidnapped by a pro-robots terrorist group.
Find out more details about the project and how you can participate via The StoryBoom’s official webpage.
