I adore this picture of Daisy Took, Clare's halfling "thief" from our nascent Tekralh campaign. There's real personality in that face. You can tell she's bubbling with nervous excitement, about to embark on adventures unknown in the lands of the "big people".
The art work was done by Meredith using the character design software from Lord Of The Rings Online (I almost sound as though I know what I'm talking about).
Meredith is the Tuesday Knight's resident "online gaming expert", writes for online gaming websites and has her own blog (She Kills Monsters) - of which I grok about 10 per cent, not really knowing my Warcraft from my Guild Wars.
As to Daisy, you can read all about her on her page on our campaign blog - and don't be at all surprised if, down the line, we discover that her home town of Pogle's Landing, on the Pogle Isles (where the halflings - or Poglings - live) turns out to be in Hassad County.

The Lotro character generator is great for creating visualizing characters. I used it to make a version of my 'Clonan' hero Kharrn the barbarian, who has appeared in several of my short stories.
