Primeval: New World starts on Watch, in the UK, next Tuesday at 9pm. A Canadian spin-off from the successful British show, New World features a cameo by Andrew Lee Potts (aka Connor) in the first episode - although no Hannah Spearritt (boo!) - but otherwise showcases an entirely new cast.
The only face I recognise is Niall Matter (Zane from Eureka) as Evan Cross
According to Sky, the first episode sees "Connor Temple travel to Vancouver and take back an ARC device that Evan obtained, after his wife was killed".
I'm not impressed by the paucity of original cast members in this new team, but they're still investigating temporal anomalies and fighting dinosaurs, so there's hope...

In the UK or in Canada? If the latter, the pilot MUST include an Albertosaurus. I mean, COME ON!
ReplyDeleteIt's Canada, so fingers crossed!
DeleteAccording to IMDB eight episodes, out of 13, have already aired in North America (just Canada?).
Never heard of it! But I did really like Niall Matter in Eureka... might have to check it out.

Primeval started off as car-crash TV, but after its first year grew into a beloved geeky show. Somehow it has spawned a Canadian (shown on Space)spin-off (New World), which hits the UK next week and SyFy in the States later this year. The original is well-worth tracking down...
DeleteAh. I reduced my cable package last year, so I don't get Space anymore. Waiting on the DVD I guess!
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know if it's any good (compared to the original)
